Equipment

  • Oven or toaster oven
  • Baking tray
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula or spoon (for spreading sauce)

Ingredients

  • For the Flatbreads:
  • 2 flatbreads
  • 250 g chicken breast cooked and diced
  • Sliced red pepper
  • 1 red onion sliced
  • 2-3 tbsp BBQ seasoning
  • 3 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 40 g grated cheese
  • For Garnish:
  • Extra BBQ sauce
  • Chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Chicken. Season the chicken breast with BBQ seasoning and cook it until fully done. Dice the chicken into small, bite-sized pieces.
  • Step 2: Build the Flatbreads. Lay the flatbreads on a baking tray. Spread 1-2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce evenly over each flatbread. Layer on the diced chicken, grated cheese, sliced red onions, and red pepper.
  • Step 3: Bake. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the baking tray with the flatbreads in the oven and bake for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Step 4: Garnish and Serve. Drizzle a little more BBQ sauce on top, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

Don’t Overload the Flatbread: Too many toppings can make the flatbread soggy and hard to eat.
Spread Cheese Evenly: Make sure the cheese covers all areas for a perfectly gooey bite every time.
Watch the Oven: Flatbreads bake quickly, so keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
